Guardianship Assessments
CASS guardianship assessments are strength based assessments focusing on the current and future needs of the child or young person and the carer's capacity to meet these needs, both now and in the future.
The assessment focuses on the carer's capacity to support the child or young person without the support of an agency and considers the capacity of the carer to provide for permanency until adulthood or independent living.
Evidence is presented from the carer journey and recommendations consider support that may be required to achieve permanency for the child or young person.
