Carer Reviews
A Carer Review is required to occur with all authorised carers on an annual basis. The purpose of the CASS Carer Review is to explore a carer's ongoing capacity to provide care for the children they are currently caring for or children who may be placed in the future.
The assessment explores the carer’s development through their carer journey and their ability to provide trauma informed care and meet the needs of children in placement. Areas for development, training and support are identified through the review process. The carer focused assessment includes a review of the carers’ existing authorisation status and recommendations for planning for the next 12 months.
